rebrand for UNISON’s internal training programmes has a big impact on the numbers of members signing up

Homer Creative have now completed a stylish new rebrand of UNISON’s three internal training programmes, Return to Learn, Women’s Lives and English for You. We have been involved with information and publicity for UNISON education since 1993 and when the ground breaking Return to Learn programme celebrated its twenty year anniversary last year it was decided to refresh and refine the approach to all three courses.
We jumped at the opportunity to clarify the relationship between the courses and give them a family feel with an up to date look. Sometimes the courses have to stand alone and sometimes they are presented together. Designer Sue Race created a brand look with three colour palettes to differentiate the courses and new typography to unify the offer. It’s a great style that can be used across all sorts of media.
And for the first time we’ve been able to design initial publicity, further information and course materials for tutors and students in matching styles. Learning and Workforce Development Officer, Jane Shepherd says, “We are very happy with the re-brand - it’s eye-catching and we are getting a good response from colleagues. Our internal courses are more clearly projected and there is increased interest in them. Recruitment is up and the new look has made a contribution to that.” And that makes us very happy too.
