Images with impact

pictures that work
We don't count how many words a great photograph or illustration is worth, but it is true that having them can take any kind of creative item in print, display or online to the next level.
And we believe that images don't just fill a space - we use them to add value to the messages, to really work with text to create readable documents with great impact.
In-house we have Sue Race whose illustrations have graced the covers of books and enlivened marketing material for new homes. Two of her covers for Tindal Street Press were for books, Astonishing Splashes of Colour and Girl in a Blue Dress, that were on the Man Booker short and longlists.
Brian Homer is an an experienced photographer who was part of the original Handsworth Self Portrait Project and who continues to run Self Portrait sessions as well as photographing for client projects.
And in Roy Peters and Timm Sonnenschein we have two of the best freelance photographers around whose impactful and stylish work makes our client work look fantastic.
angle
Whatever angle you take, the picture is clear: from pictures of premiership footballers reading books for a literacy project to self-portraits of people who live, work and visit Birmingham or from elegant illustrations to captivating cartoon characters.
And we have a way with information graphics too. Taking the lead from Professor Edward Tufte, we think graphs and charts should reveal the data, rather than just be a graphic element, and we always try to add to the reader's understanding.
Pictures, text and design - we make the whole greater than the parts.
